PRIVACY POLICY

Work Club LLC (“The Work Club,” “we,” “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share personal information when you:

• visit our website,
• join our waitlist,
• purchase a deposit or membership,
• visit the club in person, as a member or as a guest, or
• contact us.

1) Information we collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

A. Information you provide to us

• Contact information, such as your name, email address, and phone number.
• Membership and billing details, such as your billing address, ZIP code, and the plan you choose.
• Answers you give in forms, such as how you heard about us.
• Messages, feedback, and photos you send us, including through our contact and feedback forms.
• Records that you accepted our Terms of Service, such as the version you accepted, the date and time, and the device and IP address you used.

B. Payment information (processed by Stripe)

When you pay a deposit or membership fee, payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers. Stripe may collect and process your payment information subject to Stripe’s own privacy policy.

C. Information collected automatically

When you use our website, we (and our service providers) may automatically collect:

• Device and browser information.
• Log data (such as IP address, approximate location derived from IP, pages viewed, timestamps).
• Cookies and similar technologies (see the Cookies section below).

D. Other information

• Cameras: Cameras record video in the club at all times. Cameras are not monitored live, and no one watches the footage in real time. We record video only. We do not record audio. Cameras cover entrances, exits, and common areas. We do not place cameras in restrooms or phone booths.
• Entry and access records: Members enter using a mobile credential in the Avigilon Alta app. Guests do not receive a credential and enter with their member. We keep a record of each entry and exit, which may include the credential used, the door, and the date and time.
• How we use footage and access records: We use them to investigate incidents and damage, to help secure the club, to respond to lawful requests, and to enforce our Terms of Service. Cameras and access records are not a security service and do not guarantee anyone’s safety.
• Who can see them: Access is limited to the people at Work Club who need it, and to our access control provider. We share footage outside the company only to investigate an incident, to make an insurance claim, or when the law requires it.
• How long we keep them: We keep camera footage and access records only as long as we need them for the purposes above. How long that is depends on our systems, and on whether there is an open incident, claim, or legal obligation.
• Wi-Fi: Our Wi-Fi equipment may log which devices connect and when. We don’t monitor the content of what you do online.
• Photos and video from shoots: Every so often we bring a photographer or videographer into the club. If you’re in those shots, we may use them as described in Section 17 of our Terms of Service.
• Guests: If you visit as the guest of a member, we may collect your name and contact information, and the name of the member hosting you.
• Community content: if you post in any Work Club community, app, or shared channel, others may be able to see it, so please don’t share anything you consider private.

2) How we use your information

We use personal information to:

• Provide and administer memberships and related services.
• Process payments and maintain billing records.
• Communicate with you about your account, purchases, and service updates.
• Respond to questions and support requests.
• Improve our website, offerings, and member experience.
• Send marketing messages (only if you opt in, or where permitted by law, and you can opt out at any time).
• Protect the security and integrity of our business, website, and members.

3) How we share your information

We may share personal information with:

Service providers

• Service providers that help us run the club and this website, such as payment processing, email and text messaging, website hosting, analytics, door access, and internal record keeping.
• Google, Meta, and TikTok (advertising and analytics, as described in section 6).

Legal and safety

We may disclose information if we believe disclosure is necessary to:

• comply with law or legal process,
• respond to lawful requests,
• protect rights, safety, and property of The Work Club, our customers, or others,
• prevent fraud or security issues.

Business transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We do not sell your personal information for money. Section 6 explains how we share information with advertising platforms and how to opt out.

Text messaging (SMS)

We will not share your text message opt-in or consent status with any third party for purposes unrelated to providing the messaging service. We may share this data with vendors who help us deliver text messages, including platform providers and phone companies.

4) Your choices and rights

• Email marketing: You can unsubscribe using the link in our emails (or by contacting us).
• Analytics and advertising: We honor the Global Privacy Control browser signal, and if your browser sends it we load no analytics or advertising tools. You can also opt out at each platform or ask us directly. See the Cookies, analytics, and advertising section below for all the options.
• Access, correction, and deletion: You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing team@theworkclub.co. We will respond within a reasonable time, subject to any legal obligations we must follow. Deleting your information may require closing your account.

5) Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including to:

• provide services,
• maintain records,
• resolve disputes,
• comply with legal obligations.

Camera footage and access records are handled as described in section 1(D).

6) Cookies, analytics, and advertising

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to function properly, to understand how visitors use the site, and to measure our advertising.

Tools we use. These are the analytics and advertising tools running on this site:

• Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads, for understanding site usage and measuring ad performance.
• Meta pixel and Meta Conversions API, for measuring and improving our ads on Facebook and Instagram.
• TikTok pixel, for measuring our ads on TikTok.
• A product analytics tool, for understanding how people move through the site.
• Our email and text messaging provider, for our signup forms and the messages we send you.
• Our hosting provider, which hosts and serves this website.

These tools may set cookies and collect information such as the pages you view, the links you click, your device and browser, and your approximate location.

Information sent from our servers. Some measurement does not happen in your browser. When you submit a form or complete a purchase, our servers may send a record of that action directly to advertising platforms, primarily Meta, so we can measure which ads led to it. That record can include your IP address, your browser user agent, and a scrambled (hashed) version of your email address, which is designed so the platform can match you to an existing account without us sending your address in readable form. Because this happens on our servers rather than in your browser, clearing cookies does not stop it. The opt-out options below do.

Opting out. You have several options, and you can use any of them:

• Global Privacy Control (recommended). We honor the Global Privacy Control signal. If your browser sends it, we do not load any analytics or advertising tools at all, and no advertising data is sent from our servers about your visit. Some browsers send this signal automatically, including Brave and DuckDuckGo. Firefox and others can enable it in privacy settings, and browser extensions can add it. You can read more at globalprivacycontrol.org. Nothing else is required from you, and we do not show a cookie banner.
• At each platform. You can adjust personalized advertising directly with Google, Meta, and TikTok.
• In your browser. Most browsers let you remove or reject cookies. If you disable cookies, some parts of the site may not work as intended.
• By asking us. Email team@theworkclub.co and we will process your request.
• Email and text. You can unsubscribe from our emails or texts at any time using the link or reply instructions in any message.

We do not sell your personal information for money. We do share information with the advertising platforms listed above so they can measure and target our ads, which some state privacy laws treat as "sharing" or as a "sale." The opt-out options above apply to that sharing.

7) Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8) Children’s privacy

You must be at least 18 to use The Work Club, and our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has given us personal information, contact us at team@theworkclub.co and we will delete it.

9) Visitors outside the United States

We are based in the United States. If you access our website from outside the U.S., your information may be processed in the U.S., where privacy laws may differ.

10) Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy with a new effective date. If you keep using our website or services after that, the updated policy applies to you.
